The Țipova Monastic Complex:
1. The "Dormition of the Mother of God" Cave Monastery in Țipova (also known as the Horodiște Monastery) is a cave monastery for monks in the Republic of Moldova. It is situated on the right bank of the Dniester River, near the village of Țipova in the Rezina district. The church dates back to the 16th–17th centuries.
2. The monastic complex spans three levels, comprising several chambers and three churches (Holy Cross – 11th–12th centuries; Saint Nicholas – 14th century; and the Dormition of the Mother of God – 16th–18th centuries).
*The bell tower, the monks' cells, and the other chambers are more recent, dating from the 19th century. The more than 20 chambers are interconnected by tunnels, galleries, and stairways, with the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God being the largest space. The entire monastic complex is carved directly into the limestone bedrock.
